The former treasurer of a Derry Township animal shelter pleaded guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor charge of animal neglect. The Trib reports that the charge against 65-year-old Pamela Curry of Blairsville came after humane officials discovered 87 sick cats at the Cat Aid Network and that 13 cats died due to abuse received at the rescue that housed the animals in mobile homes and outdoor sheds. The raid was conducted by humane officers and veterinarians in September of 2022. As part of her plea deal, Curry must serve a year of probation
