15-YEAR OLD GIRL ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH BELLE VERNON AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT ONLINE THREAT

A 15-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with an online threat that referenced a shooting involving the Belle Vernon Area School District.  The Trib reports that the arrest was made after a person in Minnesota playing video games reported the threat to Rostraver police.  Police searched the girl’s home and electronic devices.  The girl, identified only as a Belle Vernon school district student, will be charged with making terroristic threats and simple assault.
