In 1963 Bob Dylan walked out of rehearsal and refused to appear on “The Ed Sullivan Show” after being told he was not allowed to play his song “Talkin’ John Birch Paranoid Blues.”
In 1971 Mick Jagger married Bianca Perez Morena de Macias.
In 1972 The Rolling Stones released the album “Exile on Main Street.”
In 1975 The Jefferson Starship gave a free concert in New York’s Central Park to celebrate the band’s 10th anniversary. An estimated 60-thousand fans showed up, and a New York radio station ended up paying 14-thousand-dollars to clean up the area and repair damage caused by the fans.
In 1979 Singer Mickey Thomas made his debut with the Jefferson Starship at a free concert in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
In 1992 The Black Crowes released the album “Southern Harmony And Musical Companion.”
In 1998 Lenny Kravitz released the album “5.”
In 2006 Sum 41 announced that guitarist Dave Baksh had left the group.
