Greensburg City Council has advanced a bill that would amend the city’s Home Rule Charter. The Trib reports that the amendments would eliminate the residency requirement for the city administrator and fiscal director, eliminate a requirement for a specific number of fire departments and adjusting the threshold for bid requirements, These amendments will go before council again in June and if it passes, it would appear on the ballot for a referendum vote in November.
