A jury yesterday found a Delmont woman guilty of killing her five-year-old adopted son. The Trib reports that the jury deliberated for three hours in the trial of Lauren Maloberti. She was found guilty of third-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault and single counts of child endangerment and conspiracy in connection with the death of Landon Maloberti in 2023. In closing arguments, prosecutors said that she abused the adopted child over four years. She faces a mandatory sentence of at least 15 years in prison, but could serve up to 80 years.
