Work is getting underway to rebuild the interior of Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue. The Squirrel Hill worship center is being remade as an institution dedicated to the fight against antisemitism. The space will include a theater, sanctuary, classrooms, and a museum where visitors can learn about the deadly 2018 attack at the property and its aftermath. Construction is expected to ramp up this fall and be completed by 2028.
