NUMBER OF FIRST-TIME UNEMPLOYMENT FILINGS INCREASING ACROSS PA

The number of first-time filings for unemployment are increasing across Pennsylvania.  That’s according to the U.S. Department of Labor, which says for the week ending May 9th, there were over 93-hundred first time filings in the state, which is more than a thousand more filings than the week prior.  Nationally, the number of initial filings increased compared to the week prior.
