A former bank manager at the First Commonwealth Bank in Derry Borough is accused of stealing over $30,000 from six deceased customers’ accounts. The Trib reports that 43-year-old Jeri Mains reportedly made the illegal withdrawals between April 1st and May 26th with the thefts being captured on video surveillance and digital records. First Commonwealth discovered the discrepancies May 27 through an internal investigation and reported the “internal withdrawal tickets” to police on June 15. The bank has reimbursed the estates of all affected customers. Mains is free on $20,000 bond and a preliminary hearing is set for July 2nd.
