A Penn Township woman will serve up to four years in prison for assaulting multiple police officers in two separate cases. The Trib reports that 43-year-old Darla Jean Ressler pleaded guilty in four cases including allegations of access device fraud and institutional vandalism, as well as two cases in which police said she was combative and violent as officers attempted to take her into custody. The assaults on officers happened on two occasions in September and December of 2023. Ressler pleaded guilty last week to three counts of aggravated assault. Additional charges of resisting arrest, fleeing and escape were dismissed.
