A woman found by Penn Township police unresponsive and intoxicated in the middle of the road on July 24th now faces charges of leaving two children home alone. KDKA-TV reports that that officers 40-year-old Melissa Davis admitted to police at the time that she had consumed whiskey along with hydrocodone and xanax pills. According to court documents, the 11-year-old child told investigators they saw Davis consume a large amount of alcohol earlier that night and asked her to take care of the younger child before she left. Davis now faces charges of child endangerment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
