AMAZON CONSIDERING AI DATA CENTER IN HOMER CITY

Amazon is considering putting an AI Data Center in Indiana County.  The Trib reports that A company spokesperson said that Amazon is in discussion with Homer City Redevelopment, who owns the property where the new natural gas-fueled power plant is currently under construction.  A definitive agreement is not yet in place.  Amazon has committed to two large data center campuses in Eastern and Central Pennsylvania.  The Department of Environmental Protection has also not received any permits for any data centers in Homer City, nor have they had any pre-application meetings with Amazon or any other potential companies.
