A New Stanton man is jailed after police say he threw a lit improvised incendiary device at a Mt. Pleasant Borough home early Thursday. Twenty-two-year-old Jeffrey William May is charged with arson and reckless endangerment. Police say the device failed to start a fire, but left gasoline and char marks near the home. May was being held on 35-thousand dollars bail, with a preliminary hearing set for August 19th.
