SEWICKLEY TOWNSHIP MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH DEATH OF MOTHER

A man was charged in connection with the death of his mother over the weekend in Sewickley Township.  The Westmoreland County Coroner identified the victim as Christin E. Hamilton.  The Trib reports that her son, Jakob, was taken into custody by state police around 7 PM.  The cause and manner of Christin’s death has not been released, pending final autopsy and toxicology reports and further investigation, but the coroner’s office said that police were sent out for a welfare check on Sunday morning and found her dead at her home on West Newton Road.
