STATE REPRESENTATIVE SPONSORS BILL TO CREATE ANNUAL DOLLY PARTON DAY ON SEPTEMBER 25

A Pennsylvania lawmaker is planning to introduce a measure that would establish Dolly Parton Day in the commonwealth.  Philadelphia Representative Ben Waxman is sponsoring a bill to create the annual occasion on September 25th.  Waxman says he wants to honor Parton’s talent and her philanthropic efforts, including the Imagination Library, which provides free books to young children across the state.  Parton passed away at 80 years old last week following a brief battle with cancer.
