PRELIMINARY HEARING FOR PITTSBURGH MAN CHARGED WITH NEW KEN FIRE DELAYED FOR SEVENTH TIME

The preliminary hearing for a Pittsburgh man charged with setting a fire in New Kensington in March has been delayed for the seventh time.  The Trib reports that Anthony Mohamed is charged with six counts of attempted criminal homicide, three counts of arson, burglary, criminal trespassing and criminal mischief as well as nine misdemeanors of recklessly endangering another person for the fire.  Many of the delays came from the firing of public defenders and requests for the district judge to recuse himself, as was the case for Monday’s hearing.
