Federal officials are releasing a preliminary report on the deadly midair collision near Carlisle Airport last month. Paul Sokoloski was killed when a small plane he was piloting hit a State Police helicopter landing at Carlisle Airport on August 19th. The National Transportation Safety Board says the plane continued its landing pattern despite Sokoloski being advised to extend his downwind leg. The investigation is ongoing.
