TRAFFORD MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING WOMAN

A registered sex offender is in Westmoreland County Prison after Penn Township Police accused him of attacking a woman he solicited for sex.  The Trib reports that 56-year-old Paul Zagwoski of Trafford is accused of assaulting the woman on August 9th in an area along first street between Trafford and Level Green During the ride from Pittsburgh into Westmoreland County, they stopped at a gas station, where authorities said Zagwoski bought cigarettes and condoms. After they reached Penn Township, the woman reported Zagwoski pulled out a knife and punched and kicked her, according to court papers.  She was eventually taken to Forbes hospital in Monroeville.  A preliminary hearing is set for August 20th.  He remains in jail on $100,000 bail.
