WESTMORELAND COUNTY DA’S OFFICE ANNOUNCES HOMICIDE CHARGES

The Westmoreland County DA’s office announced yesterday that a man faces charges of homicide in connection with the June 9th, 2023 fatal shooting at a home in Jeannette.  The Trib reports that 27-year-old Maleek Dionte Green of Pittsburgh was arrested Wednesday in North Carolina by U.S. Marshals and is now awaiting extradition.  He is accused of shooting and killing Brianna Lartz and wounding four others in the incident.  Additional charges are forthcoming against a second man who was not named publicly by authorities.
