An academic program at Penn State’s New Kensington branch is being moved to another campus in the region. Students taking radiological sciences courses can start and finish their study only at the New Kensington and Schuylkill campuses right now. Next fall, the program will remain at Schuylkill and it will also be available at the Greater Allegheny campus. Penn State is moving the biomedical engineering technology and electro-mechanical engineering programs from New Kensington for the 2026 to 2027 school year as well. The U.S. Postal Service is asking Western Pennsylvania residents to keep sidewalks cleared as winter weather impacts the state. Postal officials say snow and ice on steps, porches, and walkways can be dangerous for letter carriers. Folks who get curbside mail deliver should make sure there is access to mailboxes from the road, according to USPS. The weeks leading up to Christmas are the busiest time for the U.S. Mail.
