Three people were able to escape a fire in East Huntingdon yesterday morning thanks to bystanders. The Trib reports that the fire was reported at 7 AM at a home on Mt. Pleasant Road. The building was fully engulfed by the time crews arrived, and they were forced to fight it from the outside. Firefighters had to contend with the cold conditions and a live power line that came down. The cause of the fire is not known but state police fire marshals are investigating.
