Our area can expect both an arctic blast and a severe snow storm this weekend. The National Weather Service has scheduled a cold weather advisory from 4:00 this afternoon to 7:00 tomorrow morning. Temperatures are expected to go to -2 tonight and windchills will be around -10, and that could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. The winter storm warning will start at 7:00 saturday night and run until Noon on Monday. During that time, heavy snow between 12 and 17 inches are expected for some areas along with a light glaze. People are advised to delay any travel and take extra care if they have to go out.
