JEANNETTE MAN ARRAIGNED ON FATAL HIT-AND-RUN CRASH

A Jeannette man was arraigned on Friday for his role in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a man in Hempfield last year.  The Trib reports that 37-year-old William Sever faces counts of accidents involving death or personal injury and other crimes related to the crash where he hit 19-year-old Jayden Lynch of Jeannette on College Avenue near North Greengate Road on July 31st and fled the scene.  Sever has denied involvement, but also said he drank some alcohol the night of the crash.  Bail was denied and he is now in Westmoreland County Jail waiting for his preliminary hearing on February 12th.
