JURY SELECTION TO BEGIN TODAY FOR THOMAS STANKO TRIAL

Jury selection in the trial of Thomas Stanko will start today in Westmoreland County Court.  The Trib reports that the 55-year-old Unity man is charged in 2022 with criminal homicide in connection with the disappearance of Cassandra Gross five years earlier.  Prosecutors say that Stanko killed her, then burned her body.  Stanko has maintained his innocence during the investigation.  Officials believe the trial will last just over two weeks.
