Senator John Fetterman says he’s “baffled” by other senators who do not support recent U.S. military action against Iran. The Pennsylvania Democrat made a post on social media sharing that “every member in the U.S. Senate agrees we cannot allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon,” but he questioned “why so many are unwilling to support the only action to achieve that.” Fellow Democratic Senators Chris Murphy and Ruben Gallego have voiced opposition to military actions underway in Iran. It comes as the Senate is set to vote on a bipartisan war powers resolution that would stop U.S. military action against Iran.
