FORMER LIGONIER POLICE CHIEF AND DONEGAL TOWNSHIP ADDICTION CENTER BEING SUED

Former Ligonier Police Chief John Berger and a Donegal Township addiction treatment center are being sued by a woman who claims she was sexually abused there in 2024.  The Trib reports that the lawsuit filed in Westmoreland County Court said the victim was abused when she and Berger were patients at Dreamlife Recovery.  Berger has denied the allegations. His criminal trial on those charges is scheduled to begin in June.
