MCKEESPORT MAN CHARGED IN DECEMBER 2023 STABBING GETS SENTENCE

A McKeesport man charged in connection with a stabbing in December of 2023 was sentenced on Thursday.  The Trib reports that 22-year-old Sean Jones was reportedly the ringleader of a group who entered a home, ordered the victim to the ground at gunpoint and stabbed him in the leg during the assault and took about $5,000 in cash and several weapons.  Judge Tim Krieger said he was unable to conclude whether Jones was the ringleader of the group, but the sentence he imposed was based on his prior record as a juvenile and the violent nature of the crimes to which he pleaded guilty.  Jones will serve up to 14 years in prison.
