The Westmoreland County Airport Authority is moving forward with a scaled-back solar farm project for Arnold Palmer Regional Airport. The Trib reports that this week, the authority approved the $4.4 million proposal from Veregy out of Arizona. The proposal is significantly smaller than the proposed $30 million project. The smaller version will have a ground-based solar array that would provide 95% of the terminal’s power needs. No upfront costs are needed for the early stages of the project.
