A settlement was reached between the owners of Thistledown Inn at Segar House and their neighbors. The Trib reports that the inn will continue to host events in the adjoining pavillion. The neighbors claimed the event space was a nuisance because of traffic and noise concerns, violated zoning codes and the erroneous issuing of permits for the pavillion’s installation. In a separate filing, Thistledown owners claimed the permits issued in 2024 were legal and borough officials improperly acted last year to revoke them. Tuesday’s settlement calls for the Thistledown owners to install landscaping between the hotel property and its next-door neighbor. It also limits excessive noise from events hosted at the pavilion to 6 p.m. during fall and winter months and 7 p.m. in the late spring and summer.
