A temporary road will be created in Irwin to temporarily bypass a closed bridge on Colony Drive. The Trib reports that the temporary road project that will create a road through a vacant lot connecting a street with an events center and an apartment complex will cost between $50,000 and $75,000 and could last between eight and 12 weeks. This prevents a costlier project of a temporary bridge. The bridge on Colony Drive was closed earlier this year after a hole was discovered in the bridge deck.
