Bruce Springsteen is acknowledging the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner.
During his Sunday night concert in Austin, Texas, the singer started the show by offering “a prayer of thanks that our President, nor anyone in the administration, nor anyone attending, was injured.” He went on to say “we can disagree,…” but “there is no place in any way, spahe, or form for political violence of any kind in our beloved United States.”
Springsteen is currently on his “LAnd of Hope and Dreams Tour,” a trek that’s framed as a “celebration and defense of our American ideals, our democracy,and our Constitution.”
