Pitt’s regional campuses are offering free tuition to Pennsylvania families who make $75,000 or less a year. The Trib reports that the announcement was made Thursday, and includes the branch campus in Greensburg. University officials say federal, state and institutional aid is applied first, and Pitt covers whatever tuition balance remains. No separate application is required: Students file the FAFSA each year, and the benefit is applied to their account automatically if they qualify. If a student transfers to the main campus in Oakland, they would then start paying full tuition.PIT
