Norwin School District is considering a property tax increase as it works to close a projected budget gap for the upcoming school year. According to the Tribune-Review, the district faces about a $1.5 million shortfall in its tentative 2026-27 budget, which currently projects nearly $99 million in expenses. Officials said the proposal includes a roughly 4% tax increase, staying below the state’s maximum allowed hike, as the district continues reviewing costs and revenue. School leaders say adjustments could still be made before a final budget vote, which must be approved by the end of June.
