A California nonprofit legal defense team is looking to overturn the murder conviction against 61-year-old Denard Galloway. The Trib reports that attorney Tim Geary claimed evidence was planted and police reports were falsified in the case to ensure Galloway’s conviction. He reportedly shot 43-year-old Terry Anderson in February, 1999. Prosecutors contended Galloway and a still unidentified man killed Anderson in retaliation for being shorted $51 in a drug deal. Galloway has maintained his innocence.
