In 1987 Guns N’ Roses made its UK concert debut with a show at the Marquee Club in London.
In 1990 U2 was among the artists performing at the “Greenpeace Stop Sellafield” campaign concert in Manchester, England.
In 1999 U2 frontman Bono was among those who formed a human chain around the building in Cologne, Germany where the G-8 summit was being held. The demonstration was a part of the international campaign to cancel the debts of Third World countries.
In 2003 Former Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson confirmed that he and wife Kate Hudson were expecting their first child.
The first show of the Lollapalooza tour at the Ionia County Fairgrounds in Michigan had to be cancelled because Jane’s Addiction’s stage wouldn’t fit in the venue.
In 2006 The late Billy Preston was remembered with a viewing and musical tribute. Joe Cocker, the Edwin Hawkins Singers, Natalie Cole, and Chaka Khan were among the artists performing at salute, which followed a day-long viewing at the Simpson Family Mortuary in Los Angeles.
