CHILD HOSPITALIZED AFTER NEARLY DROWNING IN INDIANA COUNTY POOL

A child is hospitalized after nearly drowning at a Mack Park pool in Indiana County.  Leaders with the YMCA of Indiana County say a lifeguard pulled the child out of the water around 1 p.m. yesterday.  The lifeguard also performed life-saving measures until paramedics arrived, with the victim ultimately flown to UPMC Children’s for care.  No additional details on the condition of the child have been released.
