Journey keyboardist Johnathan Cain is taking aim at Bruce Springsteen mixing music with politics.
During an interview with The Complete Disaster Network, Cain said “guys like Bruce Springsteen should shut up.” Springsteen is known for being an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump. Elsewhere in the conversation, Cain called Springsteen “annoying” and a “bitter old man,” adding “you were born in the USA, weren’t you dude? So act like it.” The musician also explained that he’s releasing his patriotic song “The Winds of Freedom: A Salute To America” because he’s a “diehard patriot,” and he believes it’s an artist’s job to unify people.
Cain is currently on tour with Journey for their “Final Frontier” tour.
