Officials are asking the public to help them identify a man killed in a collision between a pedestrian and a train last night. Westmoreland County Coroner John Ackerman said that the unknown victim was walking on the railroad tracks near milepost 320.8 in Hempfield Township. A Norfolk Southern train going East on Track 1 hit the victim, killing them on contact. The victim did not have any identification on him. The victim is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. He did not have any tattoos and was not wearing any jewelry. He was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt, white tank top, black shorts, and white socks. Anyone with Information Please Contact the Pennsylvania State Police at 724-832-3288.
