FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP OFFICIALS APPROVE APPLICATION FROM SOLAR POWER DEVELOPER

Fairfield Township officials have approved an application from a solar power developer to build a 12-megawatt solar electric facility at a farm on Fort Palmer Road.  The Trib reports that The three-member board unanimously approved the application from GreenKey Development LLC of Erie to install a solar panel farm in four phases on a 112-acre parcel owned by Bertha Martin.  It still must be reviewed by the Westmoreland County Department of Planning and then presented to the Westmoreland County commissioners for consideration.
