The statewide measles outbreak has reached Westmoreland County. The State Department of Health reports that 94 new cases have been reported over the last seven days and 424 cases since the start of the year. The Trib reports that the news of the first case in Westmoreland County comes as two measles deaths were reported in Lancaster County. Commissioner Ted Kopas is asking citizens to follow prescribed recommendations from the medical community, including vaccinations.
