PA TURNPIKE COMMISSION EXPECTS HEAVY TRAFFIC FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is expecting heavy traffic for Labor Day weekend. The commission estimates nearly three-million vehicles will use the toll road now through Monday. That’s an increase over last year of about one percent. Roadway construction along the turnpike is suspended through 11 p.m. on Monday. Pennsylvania State Police will have extra patrols on the route over the weekend, as well.
