POLICE RELEASE NEW DETAILS ON NORTH HUNTINGDON SHOOTING

Police have released more details on the shooting in North Huntingdon at a Walgreen’s Pharmacy on Route 30 on Wednesday.  The Trib reports that officers had fired at the suspect, 41-year-old Sean Phillip Lane in the parking lot.  Authorites say he went to the store demanding Perocet pills and brandished a gun towards three employees.  Troopers said after getting two bottles of drugs, he left the store and was confronted by four North Huntingdon officers in the parking lot. Surveillance video showed he pointed the gun at them,  One of the officers fired their gun, but did not hit Lane,   He is now in Westmoreland County Jail and awaiting a preliminary hearing on September 11th.
