The Greensburg Ice Arena is set to reopen soon.
The Trib reports that the Kirk S. Nevin Ice Arena at Lynch Field will reopen on August 21st, one week later than originally planned. Parks and Rec Superintendent Glenn Moyer said the date was moved back a week because of some delays in the arrival of equipment needed for the project. The delay won’t affect public skate sessions, which are scheduled to begin after Labor Day.
Moyer said the new system uses a less costly refrigerant that is environmentally friendly.
