A Greensburg attorney is facing charges of theft after reportedly stealing $98,000 from a client. The Trib reports that 42-year-old Ashley Lovelace was charged on Monday by Westmoreland County Detectives. As she was representing a client in a divorce, she was given a check for $98,000 from the sale of a house to hold in escrow. She allegedly deposited it in the lawfirm’s accounts, but then had it reissued to herself and transferred the entire amount into two accounts between January and May. She is currently under administrative suspension and is awaiting arraignment.
