LIGONIER TOWNSHIP OFFICIALS RULE OUT LEAD TESTING AT LIGONIER BEACH

Ligonier Township officials have ruled out testing for lead at the Ligonier Beach pool for now.  The Trib reports that the Township Supervisors tabled a proposal to test for lead at the former pool, saying they will not spend the $4000 until directed to do so by the state Department of Environmental Protection.  The DEP could ask the township to test for lead if the supervisors initiate a project at Ligonier Beach Park, but township officials say with Winter coming up, they do not anticipate doing any projects at the park for now.
