GROWING NUMBER OF PENNSYLVANIANS FACE FOOD INSECURITY

A growing number of Pennsylvanians are facing food insecurity.  According to a new report from the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, more than 1.7 million people in the Commonwealth experienced difficulties accessing enough food to live active, healthy lives in 2024.  That’s about one-in-seven Pennsylvanians.  The report noted that between the Trump Administration’s SNAP cuts and persistent inflation, there is a strong likelihood that food insecurity rates are even higher today.
