PENN-TRAFFORD SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS POTENTIAL CONSOLIDATION PLAN

The Penn-Trafford School Board will soon discuss a potential school consolidation plan at its October meeting.  The Trib reports that at a recent budget discussion, Superintendent Matthew Harris said district administrators will bring at least one plan to the session.  School board officials say that the district’s revenue has not kept pace with its expenses, and in June, the board approved a 3.5-mil tax hike.  Currently, the district has one high school, two middle schools and five elementary schools.  The next school board meeting is set for October 5th at 7:00 PM.
