GUILTY PLEA COULD COME SOON IN CASE OF DONEGAL TOWNSHIP TEENAGER

A guilty plea could come soon in the case of a Donegal Township teenager charged as an adult with killing 10-year-old Hunter Meyers in August of 2024.  The Trib reports that James C. Campbell was found at the boy’s home near Stahlstown with blood on his pants and cuts on his hands.  He later confessed to killing the boy family members claimed was his best friend.  Public defenders Michael Garofalo and Devin O’Leary said they are still attempting to compile psychological evaluations and school records for Campbell before a plea deal can be finalized.Westmoreland County Common Pleas Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio ordered Campbell to appear again in about a month, when a plea deal could be finalized.
