MONROEVILLE MAN ACCUSED OF SHOOTING ANOTHER MAN IN THE FACE WITH CROSSBOW

A Monroeville man is accused of shooting another man in the face with a crossbow. Forty-three-year-old Joseph Hart is being held without bond on attempted murder and other charges. The victim tells police that Hart was at his home in North Huntingdon to show off the new crossbow earlier this month when he became angry and accused the victim of stealing 200 dollars from him. That’s when Hart pointed the weapon at the man’s face and fired, hitting him near his eye, according to officials. Authorities say the arrow traveled under the man’s skin along the side of his skull and had to be surgically removed. Hart is also accused of threatening to blow up the man’s home.
