CDC OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZES SECOND MEASLES DEATH IN PA

The CDC is officially recognizing a second measles death.  The agency’s numbers are still short of Pennsylvania’s official report of four measles-associated deaths in an outbreak that topped 900 cases this week.  This after months of criticism from Governor Josh Shapiro over the CDC’s omission of his state’s reported measles-related deaths from its tracker.  Pennsylvania first reported two infant deaths related to the illness in late August and added two in mid-September.
