MT PLEASANT MAN CONVICTED OF HOMICIDE BY VEHICLE

A Mt. Pleasant man was convicted on a charge of homicide by vehicle for the February 2025 death of a Hempfield man trapped underneath Deep Creek Lake after an off road vehicle he was riding broke through the ice.  The Trib reports that 60-year-old Ricky Wise was convicted last month in court in Maryland’s Garrett County in connection with the death of 58-year-old David Lisenberger.  Wise remains free until his sentencing hearing.
